Illustrating Poetry
This year, the festival opening exhibition is a twofold feat of inspiration. eight illustrators interpreted and revived the words of eight prominent poets and musicians. The writers were than provided with the illustrations without being informed of their textual source, and responded to them - taking off from the visual and surging towards poetry and music. Each illustration is displayed with its poetic “parent” and “offspring” - the song or poem that inspired it and the one it inspired.
